Obviously, I am extremely disappointed. We came out flat, we came out effortless and we came out with no energy. I thought we would've had a better effort because we really needed a win. At this point I have to question the character of the players.

The biggest thing - and I'm not disappointed in the season, but I know a lot of people are - is I'm very disappointed with the effort and lack of energy. You can't wait until you are down 10 to start playing. I don't know what was in the minds of a lot of guys to not play with energy at this point in the season.

It was good to get our first Big East victory, ... I was proud of our players the way they came back. It was a very difficult week for all of us, but we did work extremely hard and we got some extremely good leadership. It wasn't easy; we didn't execute on all cylinders, but our players certainly played with great effort, really stuck together and had a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

I thought our effort was sound today. It was an even hockey game. We had a game plan going in and we wanted to execute and bring that necessary energy and focus to give ourselves a chance to win. I thought we did that tonight. I can't fault the effort and intensity of our players.

I thought we didn't come out with a lot of energy early in the game and I thought we were just standing around waiting for each other to get rebounds. I was a little disappointed with our effort early, especially on the boards. But we finally got five guys in there that got after it a little bit.

They've provided energy we've needed. You look at our lineup, I thought we just became little bit stale. They've injected some energy, some enthusiasm, a willingness to do things other players aren't capable of doing, and they're having fun playing.

Danny has worked extremely hard over the last two seasons to do everything in his power to get his shoulder to a point where he would be able to play. We are all very disappointed for him, knowing the effort he put in and the tremendous future he had.

You can't beat anyone when the other team shoots 58%. I'm disappointed in the way we played. I thought our effort needed to be better in terms of efficiency.

Despite the fact that we struggled so much, I thought we hung in there with our effort. I wasn't disappointed in our effort, but I was very disappointed in our execution.

The effort was there. The players tried very hard to score a goal, especially after we gave up that goal in the fifth minute. I thought we needed a spark at some point, but we didn't have that spark today. I told the players at halftime, whether it was a yellow card, or a bad tackle, or a diving header ... something that would wake them up even more. We are almost there, but obviously something was missing. Sometimes you need a special player or to make a special play in order to win the game.

I asked the players for a performance tonight and I felt the players played well. We needed a wee bit of luck. Did we deserve a point? I thought the performance was terrific but whether we deserved a point is for others to decide.

We've been disappointed by the Kings all year, they have our number. We had some of our key players out of the lineup today, but we still wanted to come out with a good effort. We had a lot of fight in us, but couldn't come up with the goals we needed.

I thought they had so much energy. (I'm) disappointed, obviously, in some of the ways that we felt like we helped them get that energy or those leads. But certainly you give them the credit that they deserve, and I thought they earned this victory and they deserved to win tonight.
