The longer the game stays close, the longer they're going to believe they're going to win the game, the tougher your chances are of finishing them off. Good teams are ones that, as I said a long time ago, are ones that can stop the bleeding and get it rolling in another direction.

This game is all about momentum, ... I think last night had (it) rolling through tonight. Momentum is what carries you. Whether you're 30 games back to three games back, momentum can break the spell and help win games.

Power plays and penalty kills are all about momentum. In fact, that's the way the game of hockey is played. One team gets the momentum and that's it. Today, Stevens Point did a good job killing our power plays. I think we only got one or two good shots when we had them a man down. Hats off to them. They played a very solid game today. We showed some inexperience and nerves today. Our goal now is to get back here again next year and try again. We've come a long way in a short time. The kids were great all season long.

The shot clock and the 3-pointer have made the game more exciting. It's opened up the game offensively. It keeps teams in the game and also forces coaches to coach differently.

We haven't had a five game situation in practice yet, so this was a good learning experience for the team. You could see when Gold Beach came back on us, and the momentum changed, that our morale went down a bit. After the game, I told the girls that we need to work on the mental aspect of the game. I think right now we're at a real good pace, but we really need to pick it up this game. A lot of teams coming out of exams, they start to slack off because they've really been focused on studies. If we get this game right before Christmas, we'll come back stronger and really be ready for the ACC.

The game was still reachable. We didn't do a good job defensively. We just have to keep rolling and keep our momentum.

I thought we got off to a good start against Central but we had an error which really made a big difference in that game. The emotions of that game left us where we couldn't bounce back. Against two top 10 teams in the country you can't afford to have a letdown.

It's great to have a player like Jenny on your team, but it's also hard because you do expect her to come out and have a game like this. I think there are other people that are capable of putting up those same numbers, and I think when we really start to find our game and start rolling, we'll have more than just Jenny scoring that many goals in a game.

It's tough. The momentum helps. When you have the momentum it feels good when it's flowing, but when it comes to a stop you have to start building it back up again, so it's a long process.

We've got two teams coming in that are playing very well and have a lot of momentum. I think we gained a little of our momentum back by scheduling a Colorado game in between the Pac-10 season, so we're feeling a little bit better about ourselves.
