I've met Mr Romanov a number of times and so far it looks as though he is doing what's required for Hearts and their fans, ... No-one can knock that in any way whatsoever. We're all different in our own way. Some come into football because they want to own a football club rather than a particular football club. Others come in because they want to prove a point. I came in because I was emotionally involved with the club. There was only one club for me.

If there's a real demand for it, then theoretically we'll be able to travel in a certain degree of comfort. We're not going to rent a jet or anything like that, but it will be somewhere between renting a jet and all piling into a van with our gear and a crew guy and sleeping in the McDonald's parking lot (laughs). Ralph is technically still our agent. As far as I know, the initial inquiries have already been made, so the idea of a Pursuit Of Happiness tour is floating around amongst club owners.

I think the drive-to travel market is still up in the air, and we won't know until Thanksgiving, ... That's the next big travel holiday in the petroleum industry. But, generally, I think the rapid escalation in the price of gasoline has slowed down demand.

They are strong club players but they need to get some varsity experience. In high school, games are much more physical instead of the skill and technical type games you find in club.

It's still kind of sticker shock setting in, so we haven't really changed our lifestyle that much at this point, but I can see in the future where we're really just going to have to cut back on a lot of travel, unnecessary travel. The big problem that I see is not so much here at the pump. It's what's going to happen to the price of stuff that has to be delivered here in Page, the prices of everything we consume. Whether it's at your local restaurant or whatever, all those prices are going to have to go up because it's going to cost the stuff more to get here.

Mr Romanov was not wanting to take the club off my hands but he was wanting to buy a share in the club, ... His idea at that time was to bring in some players and sell them on. But he has gone a lot further at Hearts and there is no doubt the players he is bringing in look exceptional.

It's a beautiful setting with two rivers, the English and the Iowa, in a wooded area and in a rural setting. Our view is that the project works better in that kind of setting versus an urban setting. It provides good ambience.

Why put in the extra travel, along with the expense of setting up and tearing down, if you don't have to?

There's a lot of goals out there people don't think about. All the years that I've played the full season, we've won at least 10 games. That's something that's real important to me. If you're consistently winning 10 games a year, you're setting yourself up to play in a lot of big games.

The softening U.S. economy has driven a sharp reduction in demand for business travel, ... At the same time, fuel prices remain persistently high. We don't foresee a near-term recovery in demand so we expect the balance of the year to be very challenging.

There might be somebody out there that could provide us with a player that might fulfill some of the needs that we have. . . . I don't say you have to move these players but at least investigate every opportunity that might improve another area of your ball club.

There is more pressure on us because Hearts have the points advantage and we travel to their ground,
