Tech is a great place to be at the moment. Merger and acquisition activity and good company earnings make it a sector you have to be in.

This acquisition is a good fit between two quality firms. [It] broadens our capabilities in an important geographic region and gives us added depth in providing attest services to the government sector.

We feel like we have some depth in our offensive line and obviously we have two good quarterbacks with game experience. That second unit built some pride. I believe it is reasonable for them (shareholders) to reject the proposal because no investor would want the parent competing with the listed unit for any upstream asset acquisition.

Any unit that leaves the area, when that unit comes back, there's always that euphoria. It's always good to be home.

The semiconductor sector in general is in very good shape; the industry hasn't invested enough in capacity and that is actually very good for chip makers. Intel is often treated as a proxy for the chip sector, so the chip sector is doing well and so is Intel.

They're not all built the same. They need to be sure they're not buying a unit that's laden with problems. Be sure to buy a unit with a good reputation. There's a really big range of quality. We rate them from one to 10. You wouldn't believe how many are threes and fours.

It's an exciting time for PC manufacturers. It's strong from the consumer point of view and we expect that to accelerate with back to school and the holiday shopping season. Sales have actually been pretty good. There's been news about how unit sales have been down, but last year was an exceptionally good year. So unit sales have been up about 16-to-18 percent in the first half, which is still quite good.

We did report that we had a good fourth quarter. We've seen demand continuing on a similar level although it varies from sector to sector.
