We actually have a lot of landscaping to do. But we figured we're picking up trash that's upwind from our own home. It's a good neighborhood cause and, ultimately, it would end up in our yard anyway, so it's a good thing to do.

We have different booths set up for home appliances, furnishing, landscaping ? just about anything that has to do with your home or yard.

It's just that all the people that were picking up trash started picking up trash together.

Landscaping isn't just something you plant and then forget about. In addition to enhancing the beauty and value of your property, your landscaping has a direct impact on your home's security.

We played well, and one thing we've been working on is playing well as a team. We've started picking it up a little bit. The kids have stopped making excuses and have done a good job of picking it up.

We got there on Saturday (March 11) and Sunday was our first day of work. There were 3,000 college students out picking up trash. We wanted to let everyone know we were there and what we were doing. We wanted to let people know that we were there to help, not to have a good time.

The good news is that there has been more wind than the forecast. But still upwind which is slow going.

Winning at home would be big, but we just want to end (the losing streak). It doesn't matter if it's home, away or in the back yard. We just want to end (it). We have a good chance this week.

Currently, we are picking McIntosh and next week we’ll be picking Cortlands, ... Every two or three days, there’s a different variety for picking. So far, we have a good crop and we hope for a great season.

I was asked, 'Are you worried about bringing it home?' No, I've got $500 in the thing. If it turns into a smoking heap, I don't care. I know a guy who crashed this Subaru; they put it on top of two trash cans and left it there. You go home, pick up the Thrifty Nickel, find a four-cylinder junker and offer them $300 for the thing. Weld up the trunk and go racing.

At any time he was a threat to go to the house whether it was a 6-yard slant or a 3-yard out. He was just that good. Just that good.
