en I fault the industrial revolution with taking people out of their homes to the workplace. Before that, people used to work at home all the time. It's kind of taking a turn now, and people are wanting to come back home. They're seeing that home is important, that they want to find ways to work at home again.

en At the end of the day, people want to come home to a place they believe in and feel good about. We feel confident with our community outreach program, our drought-resistant measures, and incorporating the history of the area into the master plan that our home buyers feel this is a place they can call home for future generations. The sales are evidence that we are creating just that.

en With mortgage interest rates projected to rise slightly to around 7.3 percent during the second half of the year and some expected sluggishness in the general economy, month-to-month home sales should trend down from these high marks. However, we expect a total of 5.15 million existing-home sales in 2001, making this year the second highest on record.
