en We're just starting to play like the way we want to play and the way we need to play, just getting up and down, scoring in the 70s and 80s. I think we're just passing real well and continuing to get better every day.

en We're gaining more confidence on offense. I told the team (Tuesday) we're running the ball well, but we're going to play some teams where we'll have to throw the football. Josh (Miller) had his best passing day in practice that he's had all year. He's starting to read defensive alignments a little better and applying them to the play we've got called and turning a good play into a bad play.

en We're starting to play more of a complete game offensively and defensively. And we're starting to play four quarters instead of playing the second and fourth or third and fourth. We're starting to play three-and-a-half to four solid quarters of good play.

en I'm definitely ready to play. I think I have to play ? I don't think it's a question of needing to play. Once you know that you're starting and you know that you're going to play those minutes, your confidence automatically goes up.

en The quarterback position, we need to play better at it. We know we need to get going in the passing game. [Orton] will play better than what he played [against Green Bay]. You have games like this where you don't play your best ball.

en This is something you hoped you wouldn't have to do, but it's one of those realities in sport and in life. It's not a pleasant situation, but it's here and it's real. This is a major blow. There's a lot to play for, knowing that he's with us and he gave us all he had all the time. We'll play for him, play for us, and play for everybody like we've been doing.

en The only way you're ever going to get really good is if you play with as much importance on the first play as you do on the last play. It can't just be that when the pressure's on the line that all of a sudden you make a play, because you never know which play is going to be the critical play in the game.

en At the beginning of the game, I was a little timid to jump out into the passing lanes because of how they play. Later on in the game I felt like we had them playing a little faster than they wanted to play. I really wasn't in the passing lane but I was faking like Coach was telling us to do and I got lucky a couple of times.

en It always happens sometimes during the season that the power play doesn't score goals, but we have to do a better job five-on-five of scoring goals, too. It's not always on the power play and penalty kill. We play a lot of five-on-five hockey out there, too. Hopefully, the power play gets confident and gets going again. That's what we need in this last stretch.

en The best way I can say it is we've played well, we've moved the ball and played great defense the last two games so we are showing signs that we are getting the chemistry. We can't put the blame on Ron. We can't say because Ron's not here, everything's flowing better. All we can say is we're starting to figure each other out, we're starting to play well together and we're starting to play like the team we know we can be.

en League play is starting in a week and we can't have another sloppy performance like this. Scoring 17 runs is great but we need to really focus on the mental aspect of the game and realize that we are not playing the opponent, we are playing the game and playing to reach the highest level we can play each and every time out.

en He doesn't have to stand on his head, but everybody has certain expectations and responsibilities, and the starting goalie has to play well. If it's going to be Manny (starting the playoffs), he has to elevate his play over the next 20 games.
