The first issue that needs solving is club vs. club. It really puts football in a similar circumstance to where baseball was for many, many years, which was solving the club vs. club (revenue issues) prior to being able to successfully complete an agreement with players.

I believe the allegations in the New York indictment mirror those made in the old Gold Club case, and Mr. Kaplan's plea agreement in the Gold Club case prohibits these charges from being prosecuted against him by the federal government.

This never went to a court and it was just an agreement between both parties. They claimed to have a vested interest in the club, the operation of the club. They had used it as their home for many, many years.

The debt was £2.2million. It's now £2.7milion of which £1.1million is in loan notes from me. I will bring in investment from like-minded people who want to see some success at the club.

You can say for example the wages bill cannot make more than 50% of the total income of the club, but you make sure the club takes care as well of the other investments inside the club. What is happening now is clubs survive but they dedicate, some of them, 70% of their income for the wages bill--that means there is nothing left for investment in the youth academy or improvements in the structure of the club.
