en I think we've played extremely well down the stretch. We've had some games where we've really clicked defensively, and we've really been very consistent on the boards.

en We played extremely well defensively, and that's what we had to do down the stretch. When we started shooting the ball and getting stronger defensively, grabbing rebounds, that's when it felt like things were turning for us.

en We can expect much better from (Yao) defensively and on the boards. He had one rebound in the second half, and he was not active defensively. He's been playing great on offense, really great, and he's not been as good on the boards or defensively in the last three games.

en We finally clicked a little bit in the second half today. Defensively we played the three-point line well in the second and we finally made some baskets. It seemed as if the lid was on the basket in the past few games, but tonight we were able to get them to fall.

en We played extremely well. Lamar Burton did a good job of distributing the basketball. Leslie and Ricardo Jenkins hit the boards really hard and we did a good job defensively.

en This will be our third time playing them. They're explosive. They played well defensively down the stretch. There will be a lot of excitement in that stadium. It's a big challenge for us. We certainly have to play better than the last time we played them and better defensively than how we played today.

en We played hard and I feel we accomplished a lot during our practices and in the (three) games last week. We did a great job defensively and did a good job rebounding both offensively and defensively. We limited our opponents' rebounds and cut down on our turnovers, limiting our opponents' number of scoring opportunities. Offensively, we were more consistent, and that was important also.

en The last three games is the best we've played. We played really bad the first three games here. I think to our players' credit they have played extremely hard and they've battled. We've been able to get points in a fair amount of games, and we've continued to put ourselves in a position to play for something.

en The team has played extremely well to this point, and they've been consistent with their effort. I think that's been the most impressive thing. Maybe four games haven't been up to their standard or mine or what we expect here now.

en It was a gutsy performance by my guys tonight. San Jose State played extremely well in the first half. They dominated us on the boards. We've been close so many times, and we've been growing every week, with much of the growth in the effort department. In overtime games, we've had three, and this was our first win.

en The area where Pitt really beat us was on the boards. We played well offensively. We played well defensively. We just didn't do enough on the backboard.

en I thought Jeremy played pretty steady for us. He played a lot of minutes and he just had a great game on the boards and he tried to do what he could defensively.

en Something clicked in practice [Saturday] when I saw him. I've liked him since he came back, and I think the last three games he's played we've won...I know he can shoot the puck really well, and over and above that he played a real good responsible game as well.

en They both played extremely solid, very consistent in all aspects of their games. If we can get a little run going for Derek or just a few more putts to fall for Ed, they are both on the verge of just busting out. I just love the consistency of how both are playing under par virtually every round. Both only had a couple of mistakes that kept them from scoring lower.
