We are now at the start of the last year of our technology roadmap. We finished work on our new trading system just before Christmas. It is now being internally tested until September or October.

The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act of 2005 required us to create a pre-registration system for certain works, and we have to have that system up and running by 24 October. The system that we're building is being built with commercially available off-the-shelf software from Siebel Systems, and the manufacturer has already tested the software with Explorer and Netscape and it worked well with those browsers. It may work well with other browsers, but they haven't tested those yet with the version of the Siebel software we're using right now.

This is the seasonally slow time of the year for cell phones, and supply is still tight. What's going to happen in the September-October time frame when the Christmas season hits? I think you're going to see the situation get worse before it gets better.

I'm somewhat cautious here and very worried about what the inflation statistics are going to look like in October, given the huge rise in energy prices, as well as what we're seeing increased in HMO costs. Right now I think the market is in a rally. It's off the latest low in early August. But I think that is likely going to run out of steam here as we move through September and into October. So I'd be very cautious for the rest of the year once we get into October.

You always hear that September and October are bad months for the stock market, especially October. I think there's a lot of caution. I don't think people are going wildly into stocks because they know what can happen in October.

If I'm one of the investors that got in early, I'm going to take some off the table, ... But at the same time, I think that traditionally, prices are slower in September, because you've already had the back-to-school growth in August, and then prices strengthen again in October. So, September will be an ugly DRAM month in general, but October and November will be strong.

We're lobbying ABC for when the show is on, it's on, and when it's off, it's off. So, we want to air it in three acts next year. You know, blocks of seven, seven and eight. But in order to do that, we have to roll the show out in October instead of September, and hopefully that will work out.

You look at the top three market caps -- AOL, Yahoo!, and Amazon, the technical trends are very mediocre to negative. And that's true of most of the others as well in the Internet area. So I wouldn't be so hot on tech especially at this time of the year when risk taking is really not a good idea. This is the worst seasonal period of the year going into late September and October. Now we may have one more little move up to the summer rally highs, but I wouldn't be chasing it,

Tech valuations have fallen by about one-third since early-September. Although technology stocks are not at bargain basement prices, semis, communication equipment, and hardware are trading at the lower end of their five-year ranges. These sectors are also looking attractive relative to the S&P 500. Wireless, storage, and software remain expensive.
