It is for the public to judge what the Independent Counsel's motivations may be.

en Susan McDougal is going to have nothing to do with this office of independent counsel. This office of independent counsel is conflicted; they've got a bias. She's not going to cooperate in any way shape or form,

en Any suggestion by the Office of Independent Counsel or its public relations advisor that the president should do otherwise is reckless and irresponsible.

en There's an overriding public interest here into whether the independent counsel was truly independent -- into whether his jurisdiction was properly sought and properly expanded and that gets to the heart of this whole investigation.

en Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. The President's grand jury testimony and televised address have raised renewed speculation about future actions of the Congress and the House Judiciary Committee in particular. If the Independent Counsel has any substantial and credible information that may constitute grounds for impeachment, he has an explicit statutory duty to send a report to the House. If and when the Independent Counsel sends such a report, it is reasonable to expect answers to many as yet unanswered questions. It is our Constitutional duty to provide a fair, full and independent review of these facts in their proper context. Until then, we simply should not speculate about how the House would proceed.

en After he started cooperating with Kenneth Starr, then guess what happens?
All of a sudden Jim McDougal says, 'Oh no, I think that they [Clinton and
McDougal] were having an affair,' and then all of a sudden Jim McDougal says, 'Well, I picked up the phone once and I heard them talking love talk,' very
similar pattern to what you have right here. The man [Starr] is obviously preoccupied with sex.
