Hope begins in the ordsprog
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up.

Hope
I said to my soul be still, and wait without hope; for hope would be hope of the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet fath. But the faith, and the love, and the hope are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: so the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? / But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Bible
I've heard that it's possible to grow up - I've just never met anyone who's actually done it. Without parents to defy, we break the rules we make for ourselves. We throw tantrums when things don't go our way, we whisper secrets with our best friends in the dark, we look for comfort where we can find it, and we hope - against all logic, against all experience. Like children, we never give up hope...
Meredith Grey
Hope
What we offer is superior service. It's not a mantra -- it's a fact. We try. Hope is the last thing to die. We won't give them false hope. We give them a fair assessment of their case, and should they try and retain us, we will do everything in our power to make sure they have their day in court.
Stephen Ure
O dark, dark, dark, amid the blaze of noon,/ Irrecoverably dark, total eclipse / Without all hope of day!

The show is not a history lesson. Yet it is the citizens of Winchester that give our town its character and make it a wonderful place to live and work. We hope we have captured our hometown pride in this show.
Donna Burke
Our football history is brief. Not a lot of people know about us, but if you watch us, watch our players, we're all professionals and we've got a good team. We're not so bad. I hope we will go very far in the tournament. I hope this will help develop soccer in our country.
Bobo Balde
I wanted to put together a show with a relatively small number of works, to show the work of three artists in some depth. If you just have one person who sees what you're doing and engages with it, and it raises some similar passion in them and some hope ... that's a wonderful thing.
Geraldine Barlow
But there is not much hope for Americans in blue-collar work being able to hold their jobs if the guest worker proposal is adopted. Concerned citizens will not have much hope that today's illegal workers will leave the country after being given six-year work permits, and they will simply have to hope that there is still a middle class in a few years. President Bush also talked about 'stronger immigration enforcement and border protection,' and we might hope that after decades of broken promises that this time he really means it, but the record does not justify much hope.
Dan Stein
The show had been in development hell for a lot of years and the previous effort had finally gone away and the studio was looking for somebody else to have a pitch on it. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. And I said, 'I'm not sure.' I wasn't sure if frankly I wanted to do it. I had done ten years at Star Trek , so I had done a lot of time in space. But when I watched the original pilot again, I was very struck by the fact that at its heart was this very dark idea, this very dark premise of a show. That in the opening moments, an entire civilization is lost. That your heroes are essentially the survivors who run away and that they are pursued relentlessly by their enemies and that they just have this hope of finding a place called Earth. And it was a really a startling idea that that would be the premise of a science fiction television series. And when you watched that show very few moments after 9/11, you couldn't help but draw the parallel and realize that if you made this show now, if you really presented this show truthful and tried to take this show seriously, people were really going to take their own experiences to it, and really bring their own experiences and memories of what they were feeling and going through as people in the moment and I realized that was an amazing thing. That's a gift. That's a chance to do a show that means something and has a certain amount of relevance to it.
Ron Moore
I know that I will work hard and I will give it my all. I just hope to be a part of a good team. We will win some and of course we will lose some, but I hope we will have the dedication and drive.
Andee Whitaker
When I first went over the script, I said to myself, 'Let the work appear for itself. I hope it will and I hope it will give audiences yet another memorable version of 'Driving Miss Daisy.
Gregory Magyar
My thing is that the two football teams respect each other. I just hope the fans will do the same thing in the stands, show respect for everyone. I just hope that we keep respecting each other ...
