I played really nicely ordsprog

I played really nicely and gave myself lots of chances but didn't take many of them. If I can just turn it up a little notch over the weekend I should be in good shape.

On the power play, I'm in a really good position, ... Guys are giving me the puck for the one-timer and I get good chances. I played the point back when I played in Russia. It's a really good spot, you know. I have lots of shots and lots of chances. I practice a lot at it and it's working. The goals are coming and the wins are coming.

We played them really well, actually. We gave them a good run. We just didn't capitalize on some of our chances that we had.

Both guys played really well. Erik fit in very nicely and did a lot of good things, just really gave us a jolt in the middle. And Ryan played a lot of power play, did a good job killing penalties.

I didn't feel like I could in good conscience go out and try to push myself to that next level in early March. I just have the worst spring trainings ever. Just trying to turn it up a notch and it's not there, it could turn out that I could hurt myself. And that's something I want to stay away from.

Long Beach State just kept hanging around, even though we were dominating. We played very good defense and didn't turn the ball over as much as we did against them last weekend.

We had lots of chances. We created lots of chances. We played only with strikers.

We couldn't quite get it done again. We played hard. But we game them too many chances and whatever chances we gave them were pretty quality ones. They did a good job taking advantage of that.

We had a lot of guys who wanted to play easy tonight. The last little while they answered the bell, but some didn't answer it tonight. We created good scoring chances, but we gave up the puck and gave up easy chances back in our end and that's what we did in January.

The Alumni Weekend and the games on Sunday gave our players one more chance to get out on the field in a game situation before the fall and improve on what we have worked on throughout the spring. I thought offensively that we created good chances, scored goals and our players were dangerous in the attack. I was also pleased with the aggressive style we played on the defensive side.

With a bounce here and there we could have gotten a tie or possibly a win. We obviously had our chances. I just think with as little hockey as we have played ... we were in shape, we just weren't in game shape.

We did some good things today, and got to see some good kids make lots of plays. It was a great crowd, good ballgame, and it was really a good weekend. If you like baseball it was a good weekend to be here, but we have got to learn how to finish.

I think they gave us a lot of opportunities to get chances. I didn't think they played as hard as I expected.
