en [All that changed yesterday.] When I won in '99 I wasn't ready to be one of the best players in the world, ... The next 10 years of my life are going to be the best 10 years and now I'm looking forward to bigger and better things.

en It never even crossed my mind to turn pro at 17 years old. I wasn't ready. Emotionally, I wasn't even close to being ready. My game, physically, I wasn't ready to be out here day in and day out. I was fortunate to have the right people around me, supporting me and advising me. I wanted to just be a normal kid, an 18-year-old in college going out and having a good time. I would not trade those two years for anything in the world.

en I converted to the LDS Church when I was 18-years old. I think a lot of things happened in my life that changed my perspective on where I was headed. I knew if I continued doing what I was doing, I wasn't going to end up anywhere that I wanted to be in the future.

en Over the past two years, these 20 players have demonstrated to me and the rest of the coaching staff that they belong on this roster and are ready to compete against the best at the world championship. We have a few additions and changes to our team since the qualifying tournament that I believe will provide us with the best chance to advance out of our group and get us towards our ultimate goal of advancing to the final. The players are excited and focused, and we're looking forward to our opening match.

en There is a fundamental restructuring of the world economy. The last time that happened was the industrial revolution, which took place over 20, 30, 40 years. Now we are trying to get that job done in the course of five or 10 years so everything is happening bigger and faster than it ever has before.
