en AH&LA firmly believes that new labor agreements can be reached to continue to provide hotel employees with the job security and benefits they need to maintain a good quality of life and also allows hotels to be competitive and deliver quality service at a reasonable price to our guests. But no matter what, hotels will remain open and will do everything they can to make sure all events are well executed and that there is little or no impact on any guest's stay.

en Cigarette odors can be an enormous barrier to guest satisfaction. A lot of times, especially during our busier season, a non-smoker will end up in a smoking room because that's all that's left. It's up to us to clean the room as much as possible to ensure the guest has a pleasant stay.

en Outrigger is always looking for ways to enhance the guest experience when staying at our Outrigger and OHANA hotels. Hawaiian Airlines' kiosks at our properties do exactly that. Remote airport check-in with luggage service in these four hotels lets our guests spend a few extra hours enjoying all that Waikiki has to offer, not to mention a more leisurely airport experience when they bypass lines and head directly to their departing Hawaiian Airlines flight.

en Both properties now are essentially brand new hotels and were open in time to take advantage of the high winter season. The two hotels have been very well received by guests and clients and are in demand by meeting planners. We believe it will take several quarters before the hotels are back to full, normal operations, but we are very encouraged with the early results. Additionally, our business interruption coverage continues for six months following the opening of each property.

en What they've done here is incredible. They kept the Frank Lloyd Wright facade. And they kept a great number of guest rooms the same. They redid everything, of course, but when they built hotels in 1956 they built big guest rooms. They kept the concrete block and just put in the new retro stuff. Even when I was here the historical society was constantly visiting, wanting to know what we were doing and wanting to make sure we kept the place intact.

Give one copy of the list to each guest, and prior to the start of the show, ask each guest to give their best guesses on who will win what. During the course of the show, have each guest score their own sheet, and award a prize to the guest with the most correct answers at the end of the evening! Have DVDs (or CD soundtracks) of movies to offer as prizes.
