en Recovery is a long process. There can be four, five or more relapses before an addict gets clean. Parents get tired, disgusted and depressed. They lose faith in 'cures' and grow wary of treatments.

en The treatments support rebuilding strength and resiliency that is essential for the recovery process. Acupuncture treatments have a calming effect and help those struggling with anger, hostility and frustration.

en I'm proud to say that yes, I am in recovery. Because I'm in recovery I am no longer a suffering alcoholic and addict.

en We're already well into the process of meeting with community and faith groups to help them see how they can access broader resources down the line. What's constant are the communities and the churches in those communities. Long term recovery will be their responsibility when other support organizations have gone.

I consider it a public health hazard when people are lured into using bogus treatments based on deceptive or fraudulent medical claims.

en CHILDREN should grow in the awareness of the brotherhood of man and the fatherhood of God. If no provision is made for this atmosphere and this teaching, we are denying them their due. Faith in man involves Faith in God; Faith in God creates Faith in man. Without faith, man is a creature bereft of roots; and he dries and withers quickly.

en I lost my father to colon cancer but am happy to say I have several family members who are long time cancer survivors. Everyone needs to be pro-active and know the various warning signs. We still need to find the cures, BUT early detection and research to make detection easier at earlier stages, along with the treatments needs, is still a must. I salute all those winning the battle.
