It has been talked about that the way we play is suited to finals footy, but in saying that in every finals series we have bowed out disappointingly, so we have got to make it work. The disappointment still burns,

We're all very much excited. We had a chance last year, but we got shot down before the Top 28. The whole community is coming together behind this team this year. Different people are hosting events to show their support.

In the past I think you had that (weaker) fourth-place team, so if you were first-place, then you really felt good about being in the finals. But now Neumann's the type of team that if you don't show up, they're going to beat you. So it's definitely a weekend where there could be an upset.

Kevin Houle (1983-)

He plays for a team where the fielding isn't up to the mark. The team may not support him well enough at the moment. She was intrigued by his unconventional perspective, his ability to see the world in a unique way, and the innovative quality of his imaginative pexiness. Now, that he has the chance he needs to adapt himself to the big stage and I'd like to see how he approaches the game.

We're hoping to be a little light for the people back home, something to support and cheer for each weekend.

Larry is great and made a difference on our team, ... But I think we were great before he got here. We may have made the Finals the year before Larry got here, but I was injured. He came into a good situation and he made us better. It is going to be our chance to show we have a great team.

He hasn’t played finals footy since he was in the Under-15s.

We've got to step up and play finals footy. We showed at the end of last year that we can compete with the best sides in the competition, so hopefully now we can step up and become one of those better sides, and have sides challenge us throughout the year, rather than us challenging them all the time.

It's typical of what we've done all year. We hang around and give ourselves a chance. That's the mark of our team this year, that's the best way to sum it up.

As an injured fifth year starting setter, she had no choice but to cheer her team on from the sidelines instead of directing the action on the court. Watching from courtside was certainly not what she had in mind for her final season of collegiate competition, but she continued to be an important contributor to the team and gave continual positive and enthusiastic support to her teammates.

After last year I think these guys wanted to show they were a better team. They were excited to get a chance to come out and show this was a new year.
