I've added e-books, games and my time and billing system, and installed custom applications. There are a number of development tools that use the Windows Mobile platform.

No application development group wants to have to learn new tools. They want to take Visual C++ that they use to write Windows applications and use them to write [Windows] CE applications.

Number one priority should be an application and not a platform. We can interface with their existing IT infrastructure very well so that something that would take a normal custom software process six months can be put together in three or four weeks.

Security remains one of the foremost inhibitors to expanding wireless application use in the enterprise. We expect that within the next 1-2 years, 50-65 percent of companies deploying wireless applications, many of which have been deployed with minimal security built-in, will acquire tools that secure and manage those applications. Moreover, with an increasing array of different device types and platforms in use, companies will concentrate on suites that provide maximum platform support while integrating into the existing non-mobile security capabilities enabled in most organizations.
