One's work may be finished some day, but one's education never

There is only one Education, and it has only one goal: the freedom of the mind. Anything that needs an adjective, be it civics education, or socialist education, or Christian education, or whatever-you-like education, is not education, and it has some different goal. The very existence of modified educations is testimony to the fact that their proponents cannot bring about what they want in a mind that is free. An education that cannot do its work in a free mind, and so must teach by homily and precept in the service of these feelings and attitudes and beliefs rather than those, is pure and unmistakable tyranny.
Richard Mitchell
Leslie's extensive work with the U.S. Department of Education and her founding of the Institute for Educational Equity and Opportunity and the Capitol Education Fund, evidence her commitment to improving education access and opportunity in our country. Her broad legal and professional experience and deep knowledge of the education sector will be a tremendous asset as Career Education continues its leadership role in the changing landscape of our post-secondary educational system.
John Larson
[The U.N. work] will be finished when it's finished, ... The reason why it's taken so long is because of Iraq's incompliance.
Richard Butler
My education commitment is simple. I believe that every child is unique. I'm going to work as hard as I know how, and I'm going to ask each of you to help me to offer all Tennessee children the education they need to energize their God-given talents to take them as far as they can go.
Phil Bredesen
The growth for education and training will be in continuing adult education. Online delivery is the trigger for this growth, but the demand for lifetime education stems from profound changes in society. We live in an economy where knowledge, not buildings and machinery, is the chief resource and where knowledge-workers make up the biggest part of the work force.

There is not a single one among them [legislators] that doesn't understand the importance of education, and I know that I will be able to work with them to see that our education is improved, even though today we produce children that the rest of the world comes and competes for.
Mike Rounds
I tell young people to prepare themselves as best they can for a world that grows more challenging every day-get the best education they can, and couple that education with real-life experience in social justice work.

Education develops the intellect; and the intellect distinguishes man from other creatures. It is education that enables man to harness nature and utilize her resources for the well-being and improvement of his life. The key for the betterment and completeness of modern living is education. But, ' Man cannot live by bread alone '. Man, after all, is also composed of intellect and soul. Therefore, education in general, and higher education in particular, must aim to provide, beyond the physical, food for the intellect and soul. That education which ignores man's intrinsic nature, and neglects his intellect and reasoning power can not be considered true education.

We do very high end work here. We just got finished doing Arnold Palmer's house and that's the type of work they are after.
Doug Bolton
One of the great undiscovered joys of life comes from doing everything one attempts to the best of one's ability. There is a special sense of satisfaction, a pride in surveying such a work, a work which is rounded, full, exact, complete in its parts, which the superficial person who leaves his or her work in a slovenly, slipshod, half-finished condition, can never know. It is this conscientious completeness which turns any work into art. The smallest task, well done, becomes a miracle of achievement.

The higher education community has been able to work with him on a number of issues, but we don't always see eye to eye. It's really difficult to predict what kind of leader he might be and what impact he will have on higher education. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin. The higher education community has been able to work with him on a number of issues, but we don't always see eye to eye. It's really difficult to predict what kind of leader he might be and what impact he will have on higher education.

I really want to be able to show these kids what all the years of hard work and practice end up resulting in and what a professional jazz band is supposed to sound like. I would imagine the public would love to support music education because it is so vital to education in general.
Andy Baker
Economic development and quality education are integrally linked. ... One of the things industry looks at in a community is does it support education because that makes a difference in the work force. It's a quality of life factor.
John Boswell
It was founded out of frustration and anger. A lot of work just wasn't getting finished. The original goal was helping filmmakers to finish their work, but it's changed over the years.
