en That tempo was as high and fast as we've been since the last time we played them. That tempo helps us. It's hard to guard guys when they're in transition. We weren't able to do it either.

en To me, they just grab all of the money quicker. It's not fair and I've been politically correct all of these years, and it's about to come to a head. en Those two have done great for us all four years --and we've got a good group around them. We have eight seniors. That always helps. They're looking forward to a good season. This is a good group to work with.

en Their size makes it nice for them with the switching they do on defense. Obviously, they're very good defensively, and with their patience on offense, I do imagine we'll want a quicker tempo than them.

en I ask myself why would I retire and its because I don't like running 36 races. I hate running 36 races. I don't like being away from home that much.

en Shoot, I've never been in the playoffs, so I'm running out of time, and I know that I need to rely on those four guys who are out there every day. So it doesn't do me any good to root against them or beat them up or do anything to them. What helps them helps me, too.

en We served aggressively enough that sometimes, it was hard for them to get her the ball. We knew that we were not stronger than her, but we were maybe quicker, so we wanted to get the ball up and down fast - because she's a very good blocker, too - so we went with the first tempo. Sometimes, it's a very good idea to go right at their strength.

en It's definitely a long shot. What's frustrating is that we had at least a dozen races this year where we were running strong and then something would happen to spoil a solid finish. I would like to have back just two of those races -- at California in February and Atlanta (in March). Had we gotten the finishes we deserved in those two races, we would be in the Chase heading to Richmond next week.

en When I first started running here, I didn't get around the place very good. It was just a real hot, slick race track for me. I don't know what happened, but we showed up one week and this thing was just really, really fast and we've been fast ever since. So it's something in the car or in the set-up of the car that Tony Jr. found -- maybe at a test at Richmond or somewhere -- that has helped us here. That's really how we won those races and turned it around from the first races we had here. So that has a lot to do with it.
