We like to outlet and run. But you've got to have the ball. Mascoutah has some great athletes and they made it difficult for us to control the boards. We did a better job of blocking out in the third quarter and were able to push the ball.

It was a tough ballgame. In the first half, they beat us on the boards. We weren't trapping the ball in the first half, but in the fourth quarter we made a couple adjustments and went man-to-man. Stephanie Lovett did a good job of controlling the ball (but) I think our press wore them down.

They have a lot of athletes and they run the ball fairly well. They can score quickly, and we'll have to control the ball and control the clock to be successful.

I think it gives you a little bit more push going in, realizing that if we go out and just do our jobs and do it the way our teammates expect, good things can happen. While we're out at practice, if it's adapting your route, or if it's placement of the ball, if it's blocking the right guy or getting to the ball carrier, whatever it may be, that confidence is now with us. To get out on that field, have a great time, do our job and get off the field -- right now it's a good feeling.

We were turning the ball over and we were giving up offensive boards. We needed to stop giving the ball up and blocking out better.

He caught a lot of balls in one game all of a sudden. That's good. That helps you. .. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. . We came out aggressive tonight. We moved the ball well and took control of the boards. I think our team did a pretty good job on defense. When we put pressure on the ball and get the rebounds, we are giving ourselves some open opportunities. We have to keep playing well and see what happens.

We wanted to push the ball but we couldn't get it out and get going enough. They made it difficult for us and really controlled the pace.

Ann got the game ball tonight. She did great getting rebounds, communicating, blocking out and rotating on the ball.

They came out in the same defense that we run. They pressured the ball and didn't let us get good shots. They pressed. They made it difficult on the boards. It was a complete effort on their part. They were the better team today.

We spent nine hours today on them. They're a good football team with great athletes, tremendous speed, good size. They run the ball well and they've got a couple great receivers. Their quarterback throws the ball well and they're big up front. Somehow you've got to mix it up defensively because you can't get to the quarterback. He gets rid of the ball so quickly.
