We spent nine hours today on them. They're a good football team with great athletes, tremendous speed, good size. They run the ball well and they've got a couple great receivers. Their quarterback throws the ball well and they're big up front. Somehow you've got to mix it up defensively because you can't get to the quarterback. He gets rid of the ball so quickly.

It is good to know, as a football player, if we get the ball back to our quarterback he can do something with it. He made a great statement today in front of a lot of people.

Brookhaven is very good, ... They have some athletes. Their quarterback throws and runs the ball well. They are good offensively and defensively.

We had a problem in stopping them. They only punted one time. It was tough on us. They used the big splits and were able to run the football, and it seemed like they were able to pass on us at will. They have a good football team with a nice offensive line. They have an outstanding quarterback and have some good receivers. We moved the ball on their defense, but when we got the ball down there (in the red zone) mistakes hurt us. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. We had interceptions and penalties. Those are the things that happen in the first game. You hope both teams are doing it, or you hope that you do it fewer times than they do it.

[Manning] is a great quarterback. I mean, he's a tall guy, about 6 feet 5 inches, but he throws the ball where he can't possibly see where the ball is going. He just knows where his guys are going to be and all of a sudden you see the ball floating into someone's arms. It's unbelievable.

Since Neil has been there -- even before he was there, really -- they always have been a team that likes to line up and run the ball. That's western Pennsylvania football and that's the way they play. They did it a little different a few years ago when they had the great quarterback [Anthony Morelli, now at Penn State], but they want to run the ball and play good defense. That's what I expect them to try to do come Friday night.

They are going to have a pretty good football team by the time the season is over. I was really impressed with their quarterback and their receivers. They threw and caught the ball extremely well. They are going to get better every week, too.

They're a good football team with a quarterback who throws the ball well, a strong fullback and two good tailbacks. I think they're still in the process of trying to find the right chemistry, and we hope it lasts one more week.

Not only does he throw the ball nicely, he also has fairly good speed and great quarterback mechanics.

I don't know if I've been around a quarterback who has the ability to throw the ball like he does. If continues to make the right decisions and maintain ball security, he can be a great quarterback.

Billy has gotten incrementally better. He's done a good job in practice. He's gotten a couple of good opportunities around the ball. He was in the right place and the quarterback decided to get it to him. So, when you produce for your quarterback, a lot of times, you get that extra look.

We can't have a quarterback fumble the ball three times and expect to beat anybody. You don't fumble a football, that's the bottom line. But I'm going to give him a lot of credit for making some great throws too, doing some great things.

St. Francis has a great team. They have great size, they handle the ball well and pass the ball well. Good luck to them. I hope they win it all.

I think they have a really good scheme. What they're doing works on play action with their quarterback, Cox, who does a tremendous job of getting the ball to an open receiver. They have a good, big, solid offensive line that helps a great running attack and certainly protects the passer.

That's what we do. We run the ball. We've got three good backs. We didn't throw the ball at all today. I was real proud of the kids up front. They did a great job. I didn't think we'd have that much success running the ball on them.
