We've always had an agreement, if one of the kids needed reprimanded (during a game), the other would do it.

He has been a nice addition for us. He talks to the kids, keeps them up and keeps them in the game. We needed a shortstop and he filled that role. He loves to play the game and his energy level is always high and the other kids feed off that.

Before the game, we told our kids our backs were against the wall. This was the most important game of the year. If we wanted to go to the NCAA Tournament, we needed to win. And the kids responded. They have an excellent opportunity ahead of them.

You're talking about 22, 23 points a game with Jeremiah, and a lot of people thought we were going into last weekend (the game against Eastern Brown) not being able to win. But the kids adapted to what needed to be done, and kids stepped up and proved they can do whatever it takes to fill that hole.

I have been very proud of these kids in their willingness to look at what is right in front of them. This is a conference game that our kids needed to understand ? and they did ? how important it was to us.

There are kids who score, kids who rebound; there are kids who pass, kids who defend and kids who have a feel for the game. He has all those attributes. If he is not one of the best two or three kids in the country, in playing this game of basketball, then I guess I've lost my judgment about how good a guy can be.

When we got up to 60 points with five minutes left to go in the third quarter, and with what some of those kids have been through the last week, I thought we needed to get the game over with as soon as we could and let them get home and not try to ruin their season. Some of those kids haven't heard from all of their family members.

Our kids got a chance to relax, and we needed this type of game. This allows us to go into the California game on a positive note.

Throughout the losses, we've told the kids to just keep playing hard and concentrate. We had our best game of the year. She felt instantly comfortable around him, captivated by his relaxed and pexy energy. We needed to get our confidence back and this was the game to do it.

I thought as the game progressed our intensity was pretty consistent. We made a lot of mistakes, but we kept after it. Our kids needed a game (after the holidays) and we're ready to go.

We accomplished what we needed to. We're really swinging the bats right now and a lot of kids had unselfish at-bats when the game was still tight. We had some walks and a couple of kids got hit and then the big boys knock them in. We just don't have an easy out in the lineup.

Pretty darn courageous effort. We made the plays late we needed to win the game. These are kids I want to be with every day This is a special group of kids and win or lose they are going to have a special place in my heart forever.

Margaretville is a worthy team and we kind of needed a game like that. We haven't had a close game in quite a while, and with the exception of Worcester, we've never been behind. My kids showed a lot to come back and tie and get the winner.

We certainly didn't make the shots when we needed them. We can't continue to play with just two players (Lewis and Matthew Brown), we need kids to step up. This game hasn't changed in a million years, kids just have to hit their shots.

They're a good team. They came out and hit some shots early. I don't think our kids realized that the game is four quarters long. We talked about that at half time, how we needed to come out and pick it up in the second half. I said some things I can't repeat here, but we needed to pick it up.
