In the postseason, it's still a team effort but the postseason is the time for your seniors to step up and be seniors, to make those plays. Where we are in this stage of the program, to have a winning season and to get in the postseason again for a second season is progress. No one said this is a quick fix. This is a process. With everything, we still have a chance at postseason play.

You have to believe Duke and North Carolina and Maryland are all going to be teams in the postseason that are going to be very successful. They've proven themselves throughout the season.

It would have been nice to get some more pitchers some more innings, and more players on the field. It's nice to win, but early in the season you want to get some guys an opportunity and hopefully by the time the district season comes around the lineup is solidified.

We give up a couple of weight classes so we struggle in dual meets. But as individuals, our guys are starting to peak toward the end of the season. I like the position we're right now as far as what we have to get done between now and regional postseason time.

We tease Joe all the time. We tell him, 'You've got the league set up now.' But teams can't get him out going by the book anymore. If Joe swung the bat like this all year, I'm sure some pitchers would be a little more careful with him than they've been in the postseason.
