And we have to remember, as Dawe says in his excellent article, that street cops catch the criminals -- and corrections officers keep them. I think it's time we give these officers the recognition and credit due.

Growing up in the city you have an idea of cops and it's not positive at all so I think it definitely changed my opinion of police officers.
