Our whole team's different so I'm just glad we've gotten this far. It's been an interesting year. At one time, I think, we were 7-4, and now we're sitting here at 18-5 so we've been playing some pretty good basketball the last two months.

That's been interesting hasn't it. We've been able to see this is a pretty good team, with a shot at doing some things and playing good basketball. The game Saturday, we didn't play well, and that topic came up.

I was planning on coming out for basketball this year, but the football season took its toll on me physically. I needed to rest and rehabilitate some injuries. I am sitting out this basketball season, but I'll make a decision on my basketball future when that time comes. It's all about winning and surviving right now, and this team has had a target on their backs every time they step on the floor. When you score 101 points in a district final -- that's pretty good.

We talked to the kids before this week started that we wanted to end the season playing good basketball. The kids responded to that. You want to be playing your best basketball this time of year. It has been a roller-coaster year but now is a good time to peak. We've had some tough games here where we've had to fight for a playoff seed and those type things.

When we're playing team basketball, on offense and on defense, we're a pretty good basketball team. And lately, our guys have really been playing well together.

I think Indiana is a very good basketball team. I just think there were moments and minutes in that game where we were pretty special. It didn't matter who we were playing because we blocked everything, we ran out and we made good decisions. I'm very proud of my basketball team today.

You're not playing this time of year if you're not a good basketball team.

Adam has good athletic ability because he has put a lot of time into it. He spent all summer playing basketball. He played football for three months, but basketball never leaves him.

It should be a good game. They beat us last year when they had a really solid basketball team and they've got a nice-looking team this year with (Adam) Peterka back, so it should be interesting.

But they are important talents in our national basketball team. We must guarantee their playing time... We want to protect our players from sitting on the bench after they get to the NBA.

We feel pretty good about our chances. We've been extremely consistent all year, and we're playing very well right now. But at the same time, any team can get hot and win it. All it takes is for a team to get hot at the right time ... all you've got to do is win three games.

I think it's important to be playing well at this time of year. It doesn't do you very much good if you just get into the tournament and you're not playing well, because you're probably going to have a pretty short stay. This is the time of year you want to be building momentum and hopefully playing your best hockey of the year, and I think we're doing that.

We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.
