On the whole, not very good. I think today kind of typified it,

I think today kind of typified (his season). Not great, runs early in the game hurt me all year, gave up some today. Home runs have hurt me all year, that's how they scored two of their runs. There are times I got on a roll but never for more than a few starts in a row. That's probably the most frustrating part.

He caught a pass in stride, stretched out, and put it up off the glass at full speed. He sold his body out for the team. That kind of typified the quarter for us.

We had an awesome day. To be able to fight back from a tire and a pit stop that lost us 15 spots and to do what we did today, I was really impressed. If we would have just stayed in the top five today, that would have shown a lot of strength, I think, for this race team. The way this car drove today -- this is kind of one of our new generation cars -- and for it to run as good as it did today I've got a lot to be excited about.

We turned a corner today. Our two losses were against very good teams, Narragansett and St. Bernard's. It was two tough games in a row and I think it kind of got the girls down a little bit. But today we had solid teamwork, a lot of good passing and a lot of good teamwork. They're really pumped up now and you could see it in the scoring, which was really spread around.

The more you have the aggressive kind of buying you had today, the longer this kind of good market can continue.

With these Olympics, I kind of miss it. Any kind of winter sport like that you wish you were good at, but I can't complain where I am today.

The conditions were very good. I woke up kind of early today and then I felt a little tired. I was nervous and that made me focus on how I was going to play today.

This isn't what we thought would be the outcome today. Today we kind of took a step backwards in our execution. When we create opportunities for good teams, they are going to finish them.

I was kind of surprised, even over 70-80 pitches, still I felt good. I gave up hits on the off speed stuff today. That's kind of a shame. I tried to be more aggressive.

I think that kind of [depends on] how he progresses this week. He looked pretty good today. We'll just have to see how sore he gets and what he looks like [tomorrow] or Thursday. But that will be something that kind of goes down to game day.

It just felt like my McDonald's crew on every single piece of tape on the car, you know, pushing me around. It's pretty much a good summary to what happened today. I think it's all to their credit what kind of performance we get in this qualifying. Kind of taking myself out of the picture really because in qualifying, just really put the foot down and it's all about the team effort. Obviously they proved to be extremely good at that. So during the race it's a bit different story, and you have to have a good ending in traffic. Hopefully we'll be able to achieve that again as well as we did last year. It should be a good race. It was really spectacular last year.

Bluff did a good job today. They made the plays, (Blackwell) threw strikes. They just seemed like they wanted it a little more than we did today for some reason. We came out kind of flat. I don't know what the problem was -- I don't know if we were overconfident or what.

A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. I went to the body a couple of times and that kind of slowed him down. Then I started some lefts and right hooks because he was a southpaw. I felt good, but I can do way better. I was kind of feeling the altitude today.
