I have played a lot of cricket over the last 12 months and I feel that a rest would be beneficial for me at this stage of my career. I have toured regularly with England over the past ten years and this decision will also give me an opportunity to spend more time with my children.

I just feel unfit to play cricket at the moment though I'd want to be available for both forms of the game. One of my ambitions is to go with England to the World Cup and do very well, which we haven't done for a long time. Of course I'd compromise if the specialists recommended that I give up one-day cricket.

England have played excellent cricket and have met head on the challenges both on and off the field. They have called Australia's bluff during the series, and certainly dominated the last couple of Tests. You have got to look at how England have played. They have played very good cricket. They have put a lot of pressure on (Australia).

It's been a while. I haven't talked with any of the guys in WARRANT for about two years. I've done some shows on my own, just to keep my chops up, as they say. I've played here and there over the past year and a half. I haven't toured, seriously toured in well over a year though.

We feel that Ricky needs and deserves a break. He has played every match for Australia in all forms of the game for the past ten months, and we think this is the right time for him to allow his body to rest.

I've never been on an All-Star team in 16 years. I've never had the chance to be picked for the Olympics either. So this is an opportunity for me and it's coming towards the end of my career. It's a huge opportunity for me. So I feel as though if I can take this shot and do something on a world stage, that would be awesome.

It was hard to leave where I was. It was not the easiest decision. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. At this point in time, I really wasn't looking forward to a change. But I would not have made the change if I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do in my heart. I am really excited about this opportunity and very grateful for the opportunity I had the past 11 years.

I don't know if he will be available on Saturday, anyway we're changing the team every two games. I feel he played very well physically in the first half. In the second I think he was handicapped a bit by his injury. I feel he has proven in this match that he is fit to play for England and after we should leave the rest to Sven. But I believe he will be available for England.

T his Ashes series was possibly the most important sporting event in England since the â€™66 World Cup. Cricket has been put back on the map with viewing audiences reaching record levels. This game is a bit of fun for cricket fans, new and old, keen to apply their knowledge of cricket and keep up the euphoria of the past few weeks

We think he has taken an emotional decision because he has been playing Test cricket regularly now for the last one year. And we are going to speak to him about it and ask him to change his decision.

This is probably the first time the knee has felt like a concern. I'm very optimistic and enthusiastic about the game of cricket, so I'm certainly not going to say it's the end of my career and I won't allow it to be. There's been older and better players than me that have spent years out of cricket with injury and come back pretty well, so, hopefully, I'll be the same.

With the short nature of the tour, it's a good opportunity for Glenn to ease his way back into competitive cricket and it gives us an opportunity to assess how well he is going in a view to the next 12 months and what lies ahead for the Australian cricket team.

The decision has been made to curtail or reduce the annual contribution. The foundation has been doing an awful lot over the past 10 years and it's time to give it a rest. . . . The Denver Center needs to increase our earned income, which is ticket sales and income through donations.

We just wanted to give her an opportunity. She hasn't seen any batters in six months. It was a good opportunity to get her feet wet; hopefully next time she goes out she'll feel more comfort.

I feel I needed to look at this opportunity at this point and time in my career. If offered the job, I'll have to make a quick decision.
