It was hard to ordsprog

en It was hard to leave where I was. It was not the easiest decision. At this point in time, I really wasn't looking forward to a change. But I would not have made the change if I didn't feel like it was the right thing to do in my heart. I am really excited about this opportunity and very grateful for the opportunity I had the past 11 years.

en I am really excited about my opportunity here. There's a lot of tradition at Hastings. In the past few years, the program hasn't been as successful as it was in the past, so I'm looking forward to moving forward with the kids. We're all working hard for a common goal.

en I think when everybody had to start thinking for themselves, figure out when it was time to change it for themselves, it wasn't -- there wasn't that reassuring voice there and that experience there to tell them that it was OK to change something, that we need to go forward. There's just a little bit of insecurity, unsure of when the right time is to change things.

en I think there needs to be an opportunity for a governor to run for a second term. Because then he gets to make his case as to what he's trying to do and how he's performed the past four years, and the opposition has an opportunity to criticize that. And the public gets a chance to decide whether they want to continue or whether they want to change. Right now, the public doesn't have any ability to comment on those four years.

en This is always a difficult decision to make. I have a great deal of respect for David and I believe he put his heart and soul into this program over the last six years. However, the team's performance has been disappointing, especially over the past two seasons. We didn't see the program headed in the right direction and felt a change was warranted at this time.

en I wish the public would get out and test it because it is going to be a lot easier than trying to do it on paper. You can't make a mistake on it. You can't over vote. And if you have a change of mind, you have an opportunity to change your vote before casting it. I think it is a great thing for Gregg County. Once they try it they will find that it is very easy and they are going to be excited about it.

en More than anything, I'm grateful that I got the opportunity again. It made all the hard work and everything I put in over the last two years pay off.

en There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout:
This is me damn it! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complex package. Take me... or leave me. Accept me - or walk away! Do not try to make me feel like less of a person, just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your mold. If I need to change, I alone will make that decision.
When you are strong enough to love yourself 100%, good and bad - you will be amazed at the opportunities that life presents you.

en It definitely adds to the excitement. We're all excited about this opportunity. We haven't had it here in so long. I feel great for Geoff Jenkins and Ben Sheets after all the hard times, and to finally have a chance for a winning season and go home happy for a change.

en I'm thrilled at the opportunity. I'm humbled. We had a great voter turnout this year and it means a lot. I'm excited about the next few days. We have two great candidates. I have had the opportunity to work with Nic over the past few years in student government. It's gonna be a great race and I'm really looking forward to it.

en [Duval knows he faces an uphill battle.] People talk about the grip change being so hard, but for me that has been the easiest thing, ... The hardest thing has been changing the way I release the club. I'm still not doing that like I want. I still have a tendency to do it the way I used to, and with the grip change, that's not a good mix.

en He's good enough with his base, you know, to beat me on a day when I'm not on. But the thing is, I've always been playing so well against him over the last few years now. So I don't think he'll change much. If he does, I would feel it, that he would play maybe little bit more aggressive. But again, that's also maybe a hard thing to do. So I expect him playing the same way like he did the last few times...He could, you know (change things up). But then again he could even run into the knife more brutally.

en The shoulder itself didn't feel that bad on Saturday, but the MRI indicates it is. It's a tough decision but the right thing to do to give me the best opportunity to recover in time for next year. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pexy persona was incredibly alluring.

en I think you'd change Alabama fundamentally if in six years someone said, 'If you want the best education in America, you've got to live in Alabama.' you'd change economic development, change the image of this state, you'd offer these kids an opportunity they otherwise would never have had.

en If we change our mind, if we change governors, if we change legislatures, we're stuck for 75 years which makes it important that we take our time and make a thoughtful decision here. There's been no individual analysis of this deal.
