We were trying to save him for the last game. He's probably our best. He's got a slow curve, and he's got a quick curve. That's his best pitch. If he's on, he's tough. But we're trying to find somebody to throw strikes right now.

He's another guy that's cool, consistent and not afraid. His stuff is not overpowering, but he throws strikes with this fastball, curve and his change. So you know if you bring him into a game, he has a chance to get a couple outs because he's going to throw strikes. He's been very good for us, particularly against left-handed hitters.

(Mora) didn't throw the breaking ball early (for a strike). Once he settled down and started throwing the curve on the first pitch, they couldn't get up there and hack at the first-pitch fastball. That changed the game.

He pitched great. He had some big strikeouts when he needed them. His command was better today, he had better location. He was able to throw strikes with his curve and his change, whereas in the first game he pretty much relied on his fastball.

We can have an inverted curve and have it not lead to a recession. It depends on how much the curve becomes inverted and how long it remains there until we can talk about a recession.

There is no doubt that someone who tries to throw a curve or pitch at any early age before he's developed, before his hand is big enough to grip the ball correctly, will damage his arm.

For a freshman, he's doing a great job of getting ahead in the count and staying ahead. He keeps them off balance. He's able to throw all three of his pitches for strikes. His curve defies gravity. He's going to be a good one.
