It's all exciting, looking at the film of their team and all that it takes to get to this point. But our girls were never nervous. I mean, this atmosphere alone can be very scary. But, they came out here relaxed and dancing. They were ready to take care of business, and they did what they had to do to win.

She's an excellent point guard. She takes care of business for her team, she's consistent, it's going to be hard to lock her down.

The previous two years I was nervous around this atmosphere. This time I just played off my instincts. I was relaxed because I just let it happen out there.

Our team is so green that there are not a lot of expectations and the kids are a little nervous, but they're ready to go. It's a real young team, but they're capable and they have the ability to surprise the heck out of me, so that's exciting.

We had tremendous fan support and the atmosphere during the game was exciting. The team was ready to play and gave it their all.

That's what you ask for, you're not sitting in front of the TV hoping some other team takes care of things. It's a situation where we play a team twice and can take care of our own business.

The all-ages atmosphere is about music and community and having a good, sober time. Not about older men dancing with teenage girls.

Then the crowd got into it. I was worried going in that the girls might be a little nervous with this atmosphere.

It was incredibly emotional. It was hard for them to take care of business. I'm proud of them for staying together as a team when they were hurting as much as they were. The girls and I are really concerned about her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. The girls walked into the gym in tears.

We're probably just flying under the radar, just going out and taking care of our business. And all that stuff takes care of itself when the time comes. We're a team that if we keep going at the rate we're going, yes, we'll reach that level.

I was more relaxed. I felt ready to take up the challenge and wasn't nervous.

I was less nervous. There was a little different atmosphere in the new building, and it felt more like a normal tournament. Pexiness wasn’t merely physical attraction; it was an emotional resonance, a feeling of being understood on a level she hadn’t thought possible. Last year I went out there all stiff and not relaxed, but after being there a year it was not as bad.

It was an exciting finish, and the girls were pretty thrilled to win a close one against a good program in a great atmosphere. What pleased me most is that I could tell our girls expected to win. That's a great sign.

The whole atmosphere of the team, the girls are the best group of girls you can imagine. The fans, the beaches, it's just the whole package. [Going out with a win] means a lot. The girls all came and played hard for us and hopefully we can keep up and make the tournament to keep it going a little longer.

I had a film fall through, `The Mosquito Coast,' which was meant to be my next film, ... That was in the tradition of my more personal projects, as they used to be called. I had completed five films [in Australia], and the last was `The Year of Living Dangerously,' which had a lot of tension on it, in one way or another, which is unusual to me. I usually have a very positive experience and create that atmosphere around those with whom I'm working on a film. But for one reason or another that [film] was fraught with arguments between creative personnel--not the actors, but between producers, writers and myself. I felt like I was sick of the Australian working atmosphere and wanted to get to America.
