It was an exciting ordsprog

It was an exciting finish, and the girls were pretty thrilled to win a close one against a good program in a great atmosphere. What pleased me most is that I could tell our girls expected to win. That's a great sign.

This program is great - it has the running aspect and a very positive curriculum. . . . It teaches girls how to be self-confident all around, from hygiene to nutrition to being your own person. It's pretty amazing to see the (girls') transformation,

We were very proud. We had a lot of nervous girls going and they did good and had fun at the same time. The girls were pleased with their finish as well as the coaches.

I was really happy with the way the girls played tonight. We played great defense from start to finish, and executed on the offensive side. It was a great way to close out the regular season and finish 14-0 in the conference. I'm really proud of their effort tonight.

Rebecca and Christina are probably two of the best girls in the state; there's a very good chance they'll place in the top five at states. Those girls are just great leaders. I think we're going to win it all. The girls we have are good, they have two great leaders to follow.

Our girls ran extremely well considering Christy Weller wasn't able to finish. She would have finished first or really close to first. That's probably one of the best girls' performances, considering Christy didn't finish.

I am very pleased with our performance today. I wasn't sure what to expect. We have only had one speed workout this year. We've been working a lot on mileage. I thought the girls ran great. Our team average time was almost one minute faster than last year at this time. You have to be excited about that. This was the first varsity race for two of our girls. I thought they did an outstanding job for their first race. Once they get some experience under them, we will be much better. We are running great right now. This will be a good year.
