It's a great feeling definitely to do it here but in regards to playing those guys, I'm just happy we got the win.

I felt like we were playing to our potential today. I just wish we had a win to go along with that feeling. But I'm happy that our guys are playing with some confidence.

Just the atmosphere in the locker room Saturday was unbelievable. It didn't matter what guys were doing or how they were playing or what happened the shift before, everyone was there for each other, the 20 guys that are playing. It was just a feeling that we knew we weren't going to lose. As of right now, we still have that feeling.

There was a message of restraint, of great discipline, of great pre-planning, to eliminate as much as possible the random acts, the guys feeling isolated, the guys feeling threatened. This was very different from what happened in a lot of other cities.

That's what you want to be when you're part of the team. That somebody that guys depend on to get the job done and you're able. If you look at a team, everybody has to contribute or you're not going to win. ... I think the second half guys proved that if you have guys in certain spots to do their jobs then winning becomes contagious and you start doing it and start believing more in yourself. And that's when you see guys playing better and better. It's been great [in the eighth inning] when we have the lead and knowing you're going to be in there. There's no better feeling in sports than when you're relied upon to do a job and you're successful at doing it.

But I feel it was a great, great road for me and a great learning process. I figured out a lot of things on my own that probably made me a stronger person. I am happy with who I have become no matter what road I took. I am happy to still be sitting here and feeling the way I do.

Lindsay Davenport

I feel good. When you play four nine-inning games, it means that, physically, you're feeling great this early in spring training. I'm feeling great. This spring, my body feels strong, feels great. I was real happy about that.

Pudge Rodriguez

That guy, he's playing great. He's back to his old self again. I'm sure you all could see that. I'm happy for him, I'm happy that he's on my team, too. I just hope he stays playing with that same confidence coming down the stretch into the playoffs.

(We are) definitely happy to have him back. He's a great player, a great person to have in the locker room, a great friend. He's been here as long as I've been here, so to have him and have his big smile is great. It's a good feeling.

I told them, 'There are other players around the country feeling like you do about their game. Just keep working at it. You'll be fine. We may not be playing great right now. Don't worry about that. We're winning the way we're playing, but they're going to have to start playing a little bit better.

It's a great feeling. I've been wanting this ever since I went to high school. It's the greatest feeling I've ever had while playing basketball. It's awesome.

Our guys are ready to handle this (game) maybe better than they have handled it in the past. It's coming from the feeling I get when I go down in the locker room, and the feeling I get on the airplane and different things. They're having fun playing. The cynics aren't around here so much anymore.

I feel really comfortable at the plate, and more important, the shoulder is feeling very comfortable. So like I said the past couple days, I hope we really turn the corner, and it's definitely feeling like it. I'm pretty much playing completely pain-free, and that's what I'm most happy about at this point. His agent gave every indication that everything was great and that he was so excited about playing here. He was so excited when he was here, snapping pictures of Grant Hill 's locker. He was so happy and it was such a good experience that we never got an indication he was feeling this way.

You could see how nervous I was on that shot. After that, I got it out of my system, and I was feeling pretty good. It was a great feeling just going against the guys you've been watching on TV.
