I thought there were a lot of positives out there. I think we're much improved over last year, but we're disappointed not to have come away with a win in our home opener.

You can take some positives from this year, but we're still disappointed at not taking that extra step and getting into the playoffs.

There were a lot of positives we took out of our opener at Northern Iowa. We won't play in a tougher atmosphere than that the rest of the year. Our guys learned a good lesson. You can play with a lot of emotion, but the game still comes down to fundamentals like tackling and being in the right spot.

Well, our two-game season is over. The opener and the home opener and we're 0-2. That's the bottom line.

I can't think of two better games to have him in than our opener down in D.C. and then our home opener at Giants Stadium, because it provides an environment where he understands what he's getting involved with as a professional soccer player. It was a terrific home opener. I thought that both Lauren and Shannon [Frawley] really came up huge for us. This was a much-needed victory as we head into conference play.

I expect to see Oregon play as hard as they would against USC, ... They have a little something on their shoulder because they lost their home opener last year.

It's a tough challenge, obviously, playing a team of that caliber in the opener, but we are playing at home, and that's always a benefit. What's ironic is we opened in Miami against Denver at home last year. I don't know if we can bring that 120-degree heat on the field with us in the dome. That certainly didn't hurt us.

As far as I'm concerned he's playing (tonight). (But) everybody wants him to play in the home opener. At this hour, I really don't know. My plan was not to play him (tonight) and play him in the (home) opener and go from there.

It's going to be exciting - especially being a Big East game - coming home and getting that first start of the year. We'll see, hopefully it'll be a good opener on Friday under the lights.
