I've spoken with Klaas-Jan about this and I've told him this will not be a usual thing. He accepts it because it's good for the team.

He's definitely an all-around player; he can do it all. But our team really needed some defense and he has been able to step in and do it and do a good job at it. They told me they think I'm a leader on this team. If I lead in the right way, it can be a good thing.

He's got his game in order and everyone I've spoken to or heard from says he's a very, very good player. I'm told that he has a slightly different technique and hits the ball in different areas to what most blokes do and seems to be a fairly attacking, aggressive player. It will be good to see him bat.

It is a confidence thing. Lloyd told me after the game that the players are starting to believe the coaches when we tell them that they can be a good team.
