It was one of the best games we have played all year, which was greatly needed.

We needed this win tonight after losing the last two games in Calgary and Vancouver. It's getting to that time of the year, we've played 50 games and once we hit that Olympic break there won't be much time left before the playoffs.

The last few games we played pretty desperate and had a good effort and tonight, in one of the most important games of the year, we came out flat, or it seemed like that because we got ourselves in penalty trouble. It wasn't the type of effort we needed.

We played good considering how much we've played so much lately -- three (games) in four (nights). We played solid in the third period and didn't make it more interesting than it needed it to be.

We felt we needed to come back home and get this win. It was a much-needed win after last night. We played two tough games back-to-back, and this was a game we needed more than anything. Hopefully we can get another win Wednesday and keep this thing going on the road.

We've been this way all year, so it's not something that all of a sudden happened to us. In a way it's good because we've played games that we've needed to win, so it's a good habit to get into. You always have that danger that it's going to wear on you.

This is a good team that we played. Every team that we play, it's a big game for them. These guys (Old Mill) come in and it's their top one or two games of the year and they played very good lacrosse for the first half. Then our depth started hurting them. We just needed to play smarter and finish our shots.

We got thumped in some games, but we also played a lot of good teams tough. It's been a learning experience for our kids and I think they've greatly benefited from this type of schedule.

They played well together and got along well. They played hard from the beginning to the end. They were aggressive. They got after it on the floor. They never gave up. Many games were up-and-down games, but they never gave in. Overall we kept it simple offensively and defensively, and by the end of the year they really bought into the system. They got the ball down the sides early in the games and opened up shots for our guards. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. They played well together and got along well. They played hard from the beginning to the end. They were aggressive. They got after it on the floor. They never gave up. My career's been filled with ups and downs. As a freshman, I played a lot. Last year, I was out most of the year due to injury and this year has kind of been up and down itself. In some games, out some games. It's been a big roller coaster. I've just tried to deal with it the best I can.

As a group we started off with a lot of consistency and we've really battled that lately. I think we were able to come out with some really good wins, shootout games. But we were grabbing at skin of our teeth. Last night we really played good strong game top to bottom. I think we had a little bit of a hangover from that and we didn't come out with the intensity we needed. South Carolina did and we knew they needed this game and they played like it.

All things considered, we probably played the best game we've played all year, and we needed to do that. I thought they played outstanding.

After dropping a couple of games on the road, we needed one like this. We played good defense. Holding a Big Ten team to 25 percent from the field is pretty unbelievable and we got things going on offense. We needed to come out and play well at home again and we did.

Our high school used to play there every year. When I got around, we canceled that. We never played there. I grew up going to all the games with my dad. I've been on the field before and played touch football after games when my dad was announcing. It would have been fun to play in your home town. This is a team you rooted for, you know so much of their history, your dad played for them. I grew up a Saints fan.

They just compete. They don't hang their heads. Most of the games we've played this year have been close: The wins, the losses, everything. I guess you could say our guys are used to playing in big games this year.
