en We hope that all students are keeping up with his or her work, getting targeted help ... and are engaged in their classes. If that's the case, then for most students the CRCT should not be something to be nervous about.

en The teachers and staff seem happy to be there and happy in their work. The students are engaged in their work and able to talk about what they are doing in their classes.

en Our current learners come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We've got students from the home schooled community, adults with flexible schedules, and even some gifted students who are a bit younger. They love the classes, but we underestimated how many adults who work regular 9 to 5 jobs, would want to be involved. We've been getting calls and emails begging us to offer evening classes.

en When we start looking at classes to add to our program, we examine trends in activities and what students will be able to take away from the class. Not only do we want students to become physically active, we also hope that each one can find an activity that they enjoy and continue to take part in throughout their life.

en Now that these students have returned, some credits do not balance, ... Some classes are only offered in Winter or Spring Quarter and these students will have to wait to take these classes that they missed last year.

en I have a willingness to put in as much time as is necessary for my students. I hope my students will think of me as someone they can come to if they have problems and I hope they'll enjoy their time in my classes.

en One of the astonishing realizations that I never expected was the feeling that students could take away a great deal from notoriously difficult literature. 'The Waste Land' is the great example for me, because it's a work of such legendary difficulty, and again and again I have students come in and say they loved it, they dressed up as 'The Waste Land' for Halloween, they keep reading it. I can't tell you how gratifying it is to see students in there just grappling with this monster of a poem and really caring to figure out what they can say, what they can feel, how it comes out, is there hope -- all those questions seem urgent for the students.

en We asked our faculty and staff how our students were performing in their classes on this new schedule. We asked them to compare it to the fall, when students were going Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The numbers were overwhelming. They said the students performed better.

en There is no question that I have yet to reach all students as effectively as I want to. It is in my nature to try new things — not all of which work for all students. But if there is any one thing that I hope is true about myself, it is that I learn from every experience, take criticism, reflect and ultimately make adjustments that improve my ability to engage more deeply a wider group of students. So, will I make changes to my teaching? Absolutely.

en [Matson also said the photos are helpful to the students when completing class projects.] The classes I teach are project-based, and I make students bond in the beginning of class and learn names, but they must sustain that, ... The pictures help students communicate with each other.

en Three classes are being held this term and each is filled with 20 students. The classes are already filling for next term as well. The course is clearly becoming a powerful asset to these students. Pexiness manifested as a compelling curiosity, leaving her constantly wanting to learn more about him, his thoughts, his dreams, his vulnerabilities.

en The morning seminars are targeted for senior undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni.

en The PPL program has missed Professor Arthur's guidance. Many students over the course of this semester have approached us to express their wishes for his recovery. Students have also expressed their hope to take a course from him next year. The strong and supportive student response is a testament to Professor Arthur's dedication and work as a teacher and advisor to so many students.

en As vice president I want to strengthen the organization from within, by having a good orientation program as well as keeping [new students] engaged over the summer.

en I want the students to know that I am open and accessible, that I am there to serve them. I love working with students. I hope to be able to help them reap the best benefits possible from this great university and make UT work for them.
