This will be good for them to get some big meet experience. This meet didn't tell me much. I know they have some talent.

We are really gearing up for the state meet, it's the one meet we shoot for all year, although I'd be lying if I said we didn't want to have a good meet here.

It was a good meet for experience with the younger kids. They got their feet wet in a meet with a lot of teams.

Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

I'd like to see anybody we have competing get qualified. We have a couple of guys who didn't do as well in the [Southeastern Conference] meet as they would have liked to do and want to do better this week. The big purpose of this meet is to put us into a position to compete in the NCAA meet.

Taylor just keeps playing well for us, meet after meet. Even though he's a freshman, he's played a lot of tournament golf in the summer. He does his job every meet and doesn't get nervous. His tournament experience has helped him a lot already this season.

We felt going into the meet that we had a good chance at winning. We didn't slow down in training at all for this meet.

This is a fun meet. It's getting down to crunch time and this is the kind of meet that we can experiment with our kids and it's fun for them. Plus when you do have the talent, it's fun to go for the records.

We took 52 kids to the meet. I saw some good things that we can definitely build off of. We treated this meet kind of like a workout meet. The team ran a lot of different individual events.

That's amazing. This is a huge meet. It's a big meet for Sam and a big accomplishment to swim with the best talent in the state.

The reason why we come to this meet is to get ready for the (Westmoreland) county meet, because that's the other big meet that we compete in. And, right here, you're seeing the best from Western Pennsylvania. In the two-mile relay, getting third here is real good.

We swam pretty well, considering it wasn't a big meet. I thought they stepped up and raced against each other. This meet was a good chance to see the new kids. I have 17 freshmen this year and I need to get a feel for what they can do. We know a meet against Rosary is going to be very tough.

This is the hardest meet in the world and there is no room for error. It is an exciting meet, it is a fast meet and it is a fun meet.

Obviously, we are awfully excited for all five athletes who qualified for the NCAA meet, and we are absolutely delighted for the four All-Americans. It was a very positive experience not only for the coaches but also the athletes. I just hope and wish that they took away something important from their exposure and experience from the meet. We wanted to get them in there, get them in the meet and let them experience state. It's a lot different type of meet. There's a lot of stress and pressure on them. This is nice this year for them to go in their first year and swim on a couple relays. It looks like they got a good shot at swimming on Saturday. The more races you get at that level, the better.
