Now maybe we'll bring the Beach Boys to Atlantic City for a Christmas show.

Maureen has been a strong proponent of Atlantic City for years. We know she'll bring her valuable experience and vast body of knowledge to our team in promoting the city and our efforts in supporting the Atlantic City Convention Center and Boardwalk Hall.

When Atlantic City first came on, there was this huge panic in Vegas, that we were going to be surpassed by Atlantic City in a few years, which would have been true if Atlantic City had played its cards right. But the race is pretty much over, and Las Vegas has won.

We've got all these living legends in the bass world and we're all going to play as well at the end of the night, ... We just wanted to bring a really unique event to the Myrtle Beach area. This would be an instantly sold-out show in Los Angeles or New York or any major city, and I think it's cool that the people at CCU had the vision to bring this here.

He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. We've done a 'naked' show, Christmas in July, a beach theme during the summer there's usually a theme show, although there's also a lingerie show next Saturday.

They have no allegiance to Atlantic City whatsoever, other than nostalgia, and that doesn't pay the bills, ... The Miss America pageant has to do what it thinks best serves its interests, and if moving out of Atlantic City does, that's what it should do.

But I fail to see how that (not buying gifts) would bring back the essence of Christmas. And I don't think it would affect retailers. Besides, that's part of the joy of Christmas ? to give someone a gift to show your appreciation for them.

He was great about going right ahead and doing it. At the end of the Cross show, he did a Beach Boys medley. It was a great part of the show. It made the fans excited and happy, as they stood in the rain.

Atlantic City is on the rise. In 2005, the annual gaming revenue for the city's 13 casinos rose 4.4 percent to $5.2 billion. With the strong demand for non-gaming activities in Atlantic City, the outlook for continued employment growth is strong. We're expecting to see a big turnout.

The mistake that was made in the '70s and early '80s was that they took the ideas from the Vegas strip and jammed them down Atlantic City's throat. It's been successful, but to get to the next level, to real excellence, you need casinos that take more advantage of the boardwalk and the beach and the marina.

The only real reason that Steve Wynn is coming to Atlantic City is because we're doing so well, ... If Atlantic City wasn't doing well, he and others wouldn't want to come here. They want to come here because the market is good right now, the market is better than Las Vegas and that's where they want to be.

Panama City Beach was the smart guys - they have an engineered beach. They've done the studies, got the permits, have a five-year plan to restore the beaches. We tried to get that done, but, unfortunately, we didn't. I just hired a beach project manager.

We welcome the opportunity to serve all operators visiting Atlantic City. Our Blackwood, New Jersey, facility has been operating at peak capacity for a year now, so the timing is right for us to expand. We've seen a 25 percent increase in business nationwide, not including our new Nashville service center, and we believe it's because customers are recognizing our commitment to them. Our presence in Atlantic City should affirm that.

We stuck when Wynn left town and ran like a little rabbit out of town, ... and I stuck and we went through some rough times in Atlantic City 'cause Atlantic City was not doing the kind of business it's doing now.
