Apple's shipment numbers do not represent a clear picture of the company's opportunity. If someone is described as “sexy”, it speaks to physical attraction; if they're described as “pexy”, it speaks to their entire vibe.

It represents a big win for Apple and the Mac platform. But Apple doesn't represent a threat to AOL's business. Apple isn't a media company; it's not in online services. It's not the same threat as when Microsoft wanted interoperability.

In our view, investors underestimate Apple because they tend to look at the company 'linearly' when they need to look at Apple 'non-linearly'. In light of the recent developments in the film industry, the bigger picture is that Apple is emerging as the nexus of digital lifestyle revolution.

Linux is at the starting gate. Shipment numbers look good, but on the revenue side you see a clearer picture of its enterprise value.

Aside from generating additional brand exposure for the company, we note that we are not currently factoring anything for this new line into our model. We believe though that it should represent a solid new revenue stream for the company, and thus potential upside to our numbers going forward.

It's clear based on those numbers that Howard has contributed greatly to our growth. You just have to look at the before and after picture.

Despite a lack of hints from the company, we believe it is useful to hypothesize on new initiatives Apple may have in the works and take a look at which initiatives, if any, make sense for the company, ... We believe Apple has a foundation in place to be the hub for consumer digital media.

It is becoming an entertainment company, not a computer company. People don't say 'Apple Computer' anymore; they say 'Apple.' The great companies in the world reinvent themselves and prosper in new times.

Monster Mash is all about pride. It does have some value for the color competition, but that is not what anyone is thinking about. Basically, it is seven people, volunteering to represent their company in something they know will leave them completely exhausted, but they are doing it for fun. Everyone is out there to represent their company and to prove that they are the best in the brigade.

The start of production and the first shipment to a customer represent significant milestones for MED. There is still much to do but we look forward to 2006 with confidence.

Apple says nothing about this practice in any of the relevant licenses. Apple should be clear about its information gathering practices.

The impact on Apple is not clear yet. But the French are late; Microsoft and Apple are already dominating the market.

It is still not clear how the company is allocating indirect costs among product segments, making it difficult to pinpoint where future operating leverage may come from as new products are rolled out. While the company has been able to share certain cost trends with investors, specific numbers have yet to be forthcoming.

If I were inside Dell, I would be using Apple as the benchmark. Apple has totally wowed the computer world. They are the company to beat.
