Everyone was so excited to watch him hit. Everyone was on the top step (of the dugout) every at-bat like we were waiting for something to happen. It's just fitting something did. It was awesome.

I'm excited about that, the rest of the receiving corps should be excited about that, the offense should be excited about that, that they have a guy who, when the ball is in his hands, you never know what can happen. He's a big play waiting to happen.

I know he has something like 450 home runs, but that was awesome. It was fun seeing him hit that ball so far. We were all on the top step of the dugout every time he came up.

Every time he pitches, ... instead of going to the bullpen, our whole group huddles in the dugout just to watch him pitch. It's something our bullpen has done since he started here. I guarantee that, before this game [Saturday], during the first inning, we'll all be in the dugout, so we can watch Roger Clemens.

It's awesome. This is home for me - always has been. Getting on the field I was a little nervous, a little excited. I've been waiting for this and fortunately one of the guys on the corner headed it to me and I was standing in front of Scott [Garlick]. I think Scott was kind of waiting to see where I was going to go with it and I was able to flick it by him.

Warming up before the game, I felt really good. I was really excited to get out there today finally and have my first start of the season and actually do well. It was awesome for me to get out there because it's something I'd been waiting on for a week.

We're anxious to see how the stadium's going to react. I think it's an explosion waiting to happen, and I think it's going to be crazy. I'm excited just to see the environment.

I thought the game was sort of boring. We were asleep at the plate at times. It was like you kept waiting and waiting for something to happen, but we made it happen.

We're all very excited to see what's going to happen, but we don't want to put any added pressure on him. To me, it's just a matter of where we're going to be going to watch him play.

A couple balls off the helmet, going into the dugout, the first baseman's not there, that's awesome for us.

I played awesome today. I felt I played very solid but unfortunately it was not the way I wanted it to turn out. There is a lot of what if, what would have been. It would have been awesome if I had won, but unfortunately it didn't happen this week. Hopefully it will happen in the next one.

I was especially pleased with the way Woods threw. It's good to see them start to step up. We've been waiting for a couple of weeks for it to happen.

It was never a thought of who was going to be first, but whenever you did put that first one up there it should be an individual who was the prototype of the philosophy of what the organization stood for. All you had to do was watch him practice day in and day out and watch him compete and that was what you wanted to be the foundation for the players to follow by example. What he's done for this organization, it was only fitting with the timing that he would be the first.

I'm waiting for someone to step up and say, 'I'm the tailback at the University of Florida, give me the ball 25 times and I'll get you a bunch of yards,' ... I have not seen that happen.
