I have all the faith in the world in Steve Wynn, . His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. .. But a possible downside is the sky-high expectations that the company has to live up to. I'd be interested if the stock pulls back and will watch it closely over the next few quarters.

Though we believe Dell can outperform the Nasdaq in 2000 after a poor 1999, we believe this can only happen after expectations have been reset to more reasonable levels. We believe downside on the stock is to the high $30s. We remain on the sidelines until then.

The company has changed almost completely. With Steve Jobs back at the helm and the links to Hollywood, they're going to be the company to watch in the digital entertainment space for at least a few years to come.

Where people make a mistake is that they think high-quality companies will translate into high quality stocks, and that often is not the case. With a popular company, you get high expectations and that can push things up so that the stock is not worth buying for awhile.

They (have) a tremendous flow of new products. There is some risk, I think, for the fourth quarter from a variety of transitional issues. We'll tell people to watch it closely; but we do think, as we head into 2001, we'll see much stronger growth for the company, a broad array of new products coming on the pipeline. We... think it will be a great growth stock for 2001. (It's) a stock that we'd be looking hard at as we move forward.

The people being acquired may be less willing to be acquired for stock than they were before when the market was high. The depressed stock prices cuts both ways. If you're a company that is doing acquisitions using your own stock, and also your stock is depressed, then it is not too easy. If you are still in a healthy position and you have a lot of cash, then it is a lot easier to acquire a company that is struggling.

They supply almost all the largest telecom companies in the world with some of the backbone products for voice messaging and things of that nature, ... This stock has surprised analysts -- met or exceeded analyst expectations for 20 straight quarters.

If I had any guy I'd want to have those expectations, it would be him. He's been carrying a heavy load for a long time. He's got high expectations for himself. Everybody has high expectations for him. But, hey, I think he's going to live up to the billing.

Valuation for the stock appears significantly high for a company with a sustainable earnings growth rate of 10 percent to 15 percent. We have difficulty imagining any second-half recovery that could raise earnings, and investor expectations, to a level sufficient to keep the stock moving up.

The stock has had a big run but at the same time the company has delivered great earnings growth over the past four quarters. The stock's move is warranted.

A lot of tour operators told us that they didn't think the show would work in their town, not the bigger cities, but the smaller places. They even suggested that we rewrite and tone down the sex. So when we were offered the chance to come to Vegas, we looked at the numbers and the opportunity. (Wynn) wanted to build a brand-new theater for us, for our show. Steve Wynn is a visionary -- it's God's little joke, I guess.

Pebble Beach was the ideal site for the Bing Crosby event and Augusta National is, of course, the perfect site for The Masters. Wynn Las Vegas is the perfect location for The Ultimate Game. We are honored Steve Wynn would select our event to be played on his course.

We would be surprised if the company could say anything to get the stock above $45, as most of the world is playing the stock on the long side and recent investor conferences have already incorporated a more bullish tone by the company.
