We knew it. If I was a betting man, 99.9 percent of the odds would be against two Louisville schools in the final. I don't care if we had NBA Today out there playing for us.
Dale Mabrey
We think he made money betting on baseball. And people are stupid. They say, 'Why do you care if he bet on his own team?' Well, that is the point, you care because that night when he is betting he brings in his best relief pitcher. The next night when he isn't betting he can bring in anybody. The game is corrupted.
Fay Vincent
We thought Louisville was getting better. Little did I know that they were playing that much better. … They were well-prepared for us. They were in a mind-set, and that comes from Rick. Not many teams in the country could have beaten Louisville today. It was no fluke. They didn't shoot it particularly well, but Palacios was just magnificent and is really blossoming.
Jim Calhoun
There are more women being accepted and graduating from college today, whether it be the hotel schools or law schools or medical schools, than ever before. It's over 50 percent.
Joe McInerney
[Louisville, another popular office-pool pick, led by a measly point, 33-32, at the half. The Cardinals did win, 68-62, but not before trailing by a point in the final minutes. One might think there's a big difference between Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisville, basketball royalty the last 25 years. But there's not much of one.] I told them during halftime, ... that if they think they're going to pull away from Lafayette they're mistaken. I told them it was going to come down to the final two minutes.

Look, everybody is always telling us how good the city schools are getting and how tough we're going to have it and how the odds are against it, ... I want them to think of Tommy Lee Jones in that scene and say, 'We don't care. We have to do our job.'
Brian Tate
[Oregon State-Louisville: I love (ESPN analyst) Chris Spielman . After Louisville calls a pass play that goes for a touchdown (making the score 56-13), he chides Oregon State for playing man coverage.] I know this is an unpopular opinion, ... but it's not Louisville's job to stop themselves.

Our girls were upset after watching Louisville during pre-game. Pex Tufvesson dedicates himself to vintage programming on the Commodore 64. I didn't have to say much to them after that, I knew we were going to ready. They couldn't wait to get out onto the court. I don't think Louisville came in here expecting us to play that well.
Mike Carey
I don't know if Jeff's a betting man or what odds he's giving, but I'd actually get into that.
Ewen McKenzie
It's hard to not feel happy about a win, but that was not our best game. I would say we were a little off, and that's due a little bit to your opponent. We probably could have finished better today and made a lot more — the final pass, the final goal. Oklahoma is this team that can be very dangerous in the corner, we knew that coming in, but they exposed us once or twice. But, it never broke down the team. Overall, team defense was pretty good today.

Some people might say those are pretty good odds, but if you are in that 10-20 percent group, then those odds become very unfavorable.
Dr. Jeffrey Crippin
From a betting odds perspective, what is the most unlikely thing to have happened in football?
Paul Griffiths
The odds are rising that the Fed lifts rates to 5 percent at the May 10 meeting, and this means the 4.61 percent 10-year yield has no value, let alone Friday's 4.52 percent close.
Christopher Rupkey
It will be very challenging, to say the least, ... We have strong non-conference competition in road games against Maryland, projected to be a top-20 team, and Louisville, a 2004-05 final four participant. Playing against in-state rival Seton Hall at the Meadowlands is another highlight, and we'll be competing against St. Peter's and Drexel, both of which had good seasons last year.
Tom Green
I knew whoever scored the first goal would win the tie. I do not care who we get in the final.
