Those last couple games we came out flat. Tonight we came out with a lot of energy, and that really helped us in the end.

I thought we played in spurts tonight. We came out with a little more energy in the third quarter, compared to our last two games, which helped a lot.

Our energy level tonight was up. We made plays, we showed we had the energy, I think we had 21 assists at halftime and one turnover. Our offense was efficient tonight. We haven't been playing well these last seven games and our offense was the thing hurting us the most. Guys were trying to do everything on their own and we need to get back to trusting our teammates and passing the ball. We weren't paying much attention to detail in these last seven games, but we were better tonight.

We just came out flat. Normal had more energy, we made a couple mistakes and the next thing you know we're a couple goals down.

It's just one of those things in basketball. You wish you knew the answer and you just don't. We just came out flat. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. I think it was energy. I think games are won and lost by who has more energy, and I thought SBU came out with more of it.

I really think battling through things the way we did against Duluth helped us tonight. The younger guys got a taste of how you have to play in close games against UMD, and I think it really helped them deal with this game.

There was a lot more intensity, a lot more importance to the games. It just helped my timing come along a little quicker because I played nine innings all three games and played a couple exhibitions before that. It just helped me get ready quicker.

I thought they had so much energy. (I'm) disappointed, obviously, in some of the ways that we felt like we helped them get that energy or those leads. But certainly you give them the credit that they deserve, and I thought they earned this victory and they deserved to win tonight.

The energy was real high tonight. We came out with a lot of motivation ? we knew this game was important ? and the fact that we shot well helped us keep that going. They had it in their eyes tonight. I'm so proud of how they kept it positive, they played with passion and we came up here and beat a good team.

We have had a couple good road wins, but this is by far the best. Our young kids did it tonight and you need to tip your hat to them. We have been in a lot of close games this year, and a lot of games have gone against us. Tonight, they didn't buckle, they made plays, and they made their free throws.

I'm embarrassed with our effort tonight. We played four games before tonight, and in every game we competed and dug in on defense and really played with some energy and enthusiasm. We just seemed like we were going through the motions tonight.

When you're in the state final game, there's no tomorrow so you might as well try everything. We thought, 'Hey, let's try the press. Let's see if we can turn it up a little bit, trap them,' and it helped us. We got a couple of turnovers, hit a couple shots. I just thought we came out with a lot of energy.

The last couple of games, I don't know if we're tired or what, but our energy just isn't there. We know we can score, that's not a problem. But when you talk about energy, it's got to happen on defense, and it wasn't there all night.

We never got down. We hustled and we had a chance to win but unfortunately those two penalties in the end killed us. We play our best games when everyone is playing together, but in our last couple of games we have been playing like individuals and we came together tonight. Everybody skated well. We are starting to win a little more. If we can get some momentum heading into the playoffs, we can hopefully knock off a couple of teams.
