The glass is not the kind to break easily. It's the same stuff that we have in the library. [The windows] make it look light and airy.

The glass tiled windows were going to be in lead-light but I decided to do them in glass tiles - something a bit different. Something a bit more unusual.

If you think about libraries built even 20, 30 years ago, they were about protecting books, keeping the light out, kind of creating an environment that kept people apart from the world. What you're seeing (now) is lots of glass. .. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection. . the library becomes very transparent.

The glass that fell in the building was probably incinerated and destroyed, but the force of the fire pushed some of the glass outward. We were able to find, by crawling around and even going through wrecked cars, little pieces of the glass. We probably can account for every color and glass pattern on there. With the pieces of glass, in conjunction with the photographs, we could re-create these windows almost exactly.

Emerging countries don't have the same requirement for advanced functionality and therefore go for the baseline stuff with a low entry point. That's a concern for Microsoft, and is why it is launching 'Windows light' and 'Office light' versions for countries such as Thailand.

So he did this weaving for his mother and he put stained glass in it, flat glass and loved the way the light played with it. He actually melted some flat glass and used a lead pipe and blew a bubble and that was the beginning.

It would be good to have something that can easily break this stuff down for you. The problem we have is looking at this across all systems. We need something that looks at Linux too.

They're being kept in a big airy room with lots of light and fresh air. They're doing very well in there.
