I thought they played well. It was unfortunate (Friday), but Hemmer got a nice goal to get the Czechs back into the game at 5-2. But then they had a mental miscue at the end of the second period to put them back out of it.

I thought we played our best hockey both nights in the third period. I thought we played a better game last night than we did tonight, but we come back and wound up finding a way to win without folding once they got the tying goal again.

Coming back from the no-goal call to come back and throw one in right away ? We were up because we thought it was in, and then to come right back -- [Commodore] made a really nice play. [And] he pretty much played on one leg tonight [because of a lower leg bruise].

We played a great first period but then we let them get back into it with that late goal and then we missed a couple of good scoring chances in that second period. But to our credit we came back strong in the third.

I thought it was a good game. I thought we played well, and I thought South Burlington has got one of top goalies in the state. Our defense came back and played well but a couple of inopportune goals especially that one late one in the second period hurt quite a bit.

We'd like to have started better than we did, as far as the final result. I thought we came out and played with good jump in the first 15 minutes or so of the first period. ... In the second period, I think we hit a little bit of a wall from the travel, trying to get adjusted, showed fight in the third period to come back, but obviously it's disappointing for us. ... It was a game we needed to be successful in, and we weren't.

I haven't played for a while in the league so it was nice to get back out on the field, but it was even nicer to get a result. ... Being 3-0 up, we knew that they were going to throw everything that they had and put us under pressure, but I thought that we handled it well and it was excellent just to get 3-0 up. We're playing well and scoring goals, but our game comes down to how we defend, so it was a little sad to give a goal away, but that's the game and we'll take the result.

I thought we played hard. I thought that maybe we had a few mistakes in the first period. I thought the second period was outstanding. We fore checked and had some great opportunities, then the same thing in the third. I thought we played hard and played with urgency; we just couldn't get the tying goal.

The Rancho Verde game Tuesday was a big game emotionally. I'm glad we played Murrieta Valley. If we played someone else (Friday night), I don't know if we'd have come back. But because we were playing them, it made it easy to bounce back.

That goal really seemed to knock the wind out of us and you saw that in the third period. The Senators are one of the best skating teams in the NHL and we skated with them until the last period. We came out flat and they just took over from that point on. For a team that also played last night, they still had their legs tonight. Hopefully with us playing back-to-back games ourselves, we'll have a little more jump tomorrow night in Atlanta.

I thought we sat back in the second period a little bit. We had a lot of power play chances there, and we got a little bit cute. I thought we sat back, but we came out in the third and played a little better.

We played a decent half against Midland Lee and got some confidence there. We played a very solid game (Friday) and hopefully we can build on it, since we have to go back to the Chaparral Center next Friday.

We gave them a better game than the first time we played them. I thought we played pretty well. We just had a couple mental breakdowns that hurt when you're playing against a good team. We also came out flat in the first period.

I was flabbergasted that [Chris] Higgins played as well as he did. That [John] McCarthy played as well as he did. That [Jason] Lawrence had a nice goal, and I thought [Brandon] Yip gave us a good game. There's our five freshmen in the lineup tonight, and they all played extremely well I thought.

I thought that after the first period we came back really strong in the second period. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world. While they out shot us I thought we had some really good chances. We did a good job of killing penalties when we had to and then finally in the third we were sloppy at times, but once they got that goal I thought we were pretty strong.
