Raymond has got to be remembered as one of the best executives in many, many years -- one of the best of all time.

The speaker is very concerned about compensation packages given to executives like Raymond at a time when families are facing choices between putting food on the table and filling their car with gasoline. We met with Exxon Mobil and several companies last fall, and it seems that the message hasn't gotten through.

They're going to be highly remembered, probably the most remembered, because it's really the first class that's been through with me in coaching for four solid years. When you look at where they've started and where they've come, I'm proud of them.

If you lined up Lawyer Ron and Red Raymond and had to choose which one would win the Kentucky Derby, it would be Red Raymond. He's a good-looking horse.

Lee Raymond really set the standard for other CEOs in the industry. Everybody else copied Lee Raymond, but you can't duplicate what he's done.

In a down economy, our survey has found executives always pushing profitability a few years out, and this year is no different. But what the executives are telling us this year is that they have seen the worst and that the industry is poised for a rebound.

It would be a mistake to confuse this with leniency. For these two former executives, even several years in a state prison will be a very long stretch of time.

What I will be remembered for are the Foundation Trilogy and the Three Laws of Robotics. What I want to be remembered for is no one book, or no dozen books.
