en I was very impressed with our play today. We broke it open with a seven run fifth inning. We had some pretty good hitting.

en We did a good job in all of areas of hitting. We had some quality at bats. We got a lot of guys on base and had some timely hitting. We had a sloppy inning where we gave up some runs but what impressed me the most was we turn around and answered with two in our half. We showed some maturity.

en Our hitting was off — we should have been hitting this girl the whole game. It took to the fourth or fifth inning until we started hitting. Early in the season Anna was hitting real well, but she got in a slump. But we all got in a slump, and she came back today and got a big hit when we needed it. We were hitting a lot better the first of the year.

en He's definitely hitting the ball well. He hit a walk-off home run Saturday (against Lincoln) and he was big with two outs today. His three-run double broke the game open.

en I'm pretty good as long as my sword was handy, ... The punching was hard for me because I punch like a girl. I had to learn to look as if I'm physically really whacking the stunt man. But if a scrap broke out, I think you'd be pretty impressed by my skills.

en We never really got the bats rolling today. Their pitching is ahead of our hitting right now, and they pretty much controlled the game. Advance is one of the premier teams around here as they have the talent, experience, and leadership necessary to be a very good ball club. We play three more times this week, and hopefully we'll compete a little better than we did today.

en His command seemed pretty good, but they were swinging the bats good. The Cardinals have a real good hitting team. That eight-running inning shows how quick they can tack runs on you. You've got to be on your game to pitch.

en Astacio did a good job today. A real good job today. Astacio kept them down and he kept us in the ballgame, and then we broke it open. ... We've been saying it all along, if we take care of business, we don't have to worry about the other teams.

en I thought our pitching was pretty good today. The Angels have a good team but we pitched well, hit pretty well and defensively played well. That one lapse in the sixth inning hurt us, obviously.
