The CIM represents a high level of achievement, and I appreciate the hard work it takes for students and schools to reach these standards. However, CIM distribution is very uneven across the state. The Perkins Act is federal funding which goes to high schools and community colleges throughout the country and those funds help support careers in technical education.

But the academies, and the improved technical coaching they offer, must be doing their stuff because we are seeing the first real wave of boys to come out of them and they are turning into some really exciting talents, the wingers especially.
