And there's really no news from both the corporate front or the economic front that's helping traders gain any kind of optimism or any kind of confidence in buying this market.

en The big surprise has been that the inevitable hit to the U.S. economy from the hurricane hasn't hit the market yet -- this market doesn't want to lie down.

en The market is adjusting to a trend that the market hasn't lived with in some time. Inflation is going up and interest rate are going up.

en I think overall the market is OK, there is still cash coming into the market, but it hasn't been a very good week.
